I’m an experienced and accredited counsellor/psychotherapist working with individuals and couples in the southeast.

My work is based on supporting self-reflection, with compassion and understanding, and giving you the ‘breathing space’ to explore your thoughts and feelings. This enables you to gain greater self-awareness and insight, and then to make choices that are more in alignment with your deepest needs and desires and contribute to a more contented and fulfilling life.

I work extensively with EMDR, a powerful tool for changing negative patterns of thinking and behaviour (one of only two Government-approved therapeutic approaches). I’m also a qualified supervisor for counsellors and therapists.

As a humanistic counsellor, the foundation of my practice is to offer clients a non-judgemental, caring therapeutic relationship where individuals can experience genuineness, acceptance and empathy. You can be assured I will value you as your own expert and support your own abilities to make choices that are right for you.  Working together within a trusting relationship, you will have the opportunity to explore the difficulties you are facing right now or aspects of your past which affect your present.  Individual counselling can help you can gain a different perspective and find a deeper understanding of your emotions. Clients often find this experience immensely reassuring and gain a different outlook that can lead to improved relationships and greater life fulfilment.

I am a trained Adoption Support Counsellor who intrinsically understands the complexities of adoption thus offering invaluable support for adoptees.  Adult adoptees can face a lifetime of difficult and conflicting emotions such as loss, fear of rejection and issues around intimacy, guilt, shame, control and identity.  I can support you in deepening your self-understanding and help you develop your true sense of self.  Within this warm and empathic therapeutic relationship, I offer both emotional and practical support to help you heal, improve your security and your relationship with yourself and those close to you.

Sometimes, we find ourselves living life outside in and we are deeply affected by the way we are received in the world.  This can be upsetting and hurtful.  Individual counselling can help you make changes to live your life inside out so you can project your sense of self, your values and your unique way of being, into the world.  Many individuals find counselling a healing and fulfilling experience leading to greater clarity and enrichment.

Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Arundel, Ashington and Washington

I am a UK BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience working with both individuals and couples.

We are all unique and different in the way we relate, and I can tailor therapy to your individual needs. I find that relationship issues present in most of my counselling work. It might be that you come for anger management, anxiety or depression etc..    and then discover that the root problem is in your relationships. Often growing up we don’t learn how to resolve conflict or recognise difficult feelings such as anger and resentment.

I would welcome the opportunity to work with you to uncover old patterns, habits and learned behaviours which will give you a choice to be different. My belief is that when our comfort zone becomes our stagnant zone nothing ever changes.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental approach and a safe, confidential space either by face to face, telephone and online counselling for both individuals and couples.

Hove, Hurstpierpoint, Burgess Hill, Plumpton, Lewes and New Haven

I am an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor who believes that, given the right conditions, everyone is capable of making use of their own inner resources to enable personal growth self-awareness and healing.

I believe the Humanistic approach enables counselling to be tailored to you using three different modalities of Person-Centred (PCT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Gestalt theories.

I am fully qualified, registered counsellor having completed a BACP Accredited Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a member, I’m bound by and adhere to the Ethical framework for the Counselling profession.

I see our relationship as being fundamental in establishing a therapeutic, empathic, non-judgemental, confidential space. I believe developing a relationship with you is central to us working collaboratively and effectively.

This maybe the first time you’ve decide to come to counselling, or you may be returning to explore one or more issues further. Whatever to issue(s), counselling enables you the space to explore and work with your feelings in the here-and-now. To seek new ways of dealing with the past, and/or to find ways to resource yourself, that free you from old patterns of behaviour, or explore coping strategies that may allow you to experience life more fully. I believe I can help you: you don’t need to suffer alone.

We can work on a short-term or long-term basis with the emphasis being led by you.
