My own experiences both as a client and therapist for over twenty years has helped me to become amiable, friendly, empathic, a listener who doesn’t just listen but who understands and uses that understanding to lead you and explore your own way to a better, happier place.

I work within an integrated humanistic framework, led by the client’s needs and aspirations in the here and now. I offer a safe non-judgemental environment for the client to explore their thoughts feelings and connecting to the body that may cause us to feel pain or uneasiness. By working closely together, in a safe environment that suits your pace, we can bring peace of mind and lasting change that balances mind, body and spirit.

During these times of great change, we can find ourselves in troubled states of mind, feeling off balance, unable to cope – this can happen at any time during our lives. Things and trauma from the past, you may have loss of a loved one, work related stress or loss of job. Loss of your identity, low self – esteem, relationship difficulties, in my experiences, any of the above problems can be explored and dealt with safely.

You may have no idea what causes these problems and feel in an emotional state. The inevitable stops you from doing the things you have always wanted to do.

I work to the UK guidelines of Integrated Humanistic psychology practitioner’s principles and guidelines, also accredited with the National Counselling Society.

Carry out one to one sessions, Skype also phone line if requested

Adult counselling is a talking therapy that helps you to understand your feelings, behaviours, and belief systems that have been instilled in you from childhood. It is important to have a safe, non-judgemental space for you to identify and explore aspects of your life that you would like to change. Individual counselling can support you to understand your core – triggers from your past to elevate the emotional and mental distress you may be experiencing in the present. I am a UK BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience working with both individuals and couples.

We are all unique and different in the way we relate, and I can tailor therapy to your individual needs. I find that relationship issues present in most of my counselling work. It might be that you come for anger management, anxiety or depression etc..    and then discover that the root problem is in your relationships. Often growing up we don’t learn how to resolve conflict or recognise difficult feelings such as anger and resentment.

I would welcome the opportunity to work with you to uncover old patterns, habits and learned behaviours which will give you a choice to be different. My belief is that when our comfort zone becomes our stagnant zone nothing ever changes.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental approach and a safe, confidential space either by face to face, telephone and online counselling for both individuals and couples.
