My own experiences both as a client and therapist for over twenty years has helped me to become amiable, friendly, empathic, a listener who doesn’t just listen but who understands and uses that understanding to lead you and explore your own way to a better, happier place.

I work within an integrated humanistic framework, led by the client’s needs and aspirations in the here and now. I offer a safe non-judgemental environment for the client to explore their thoughts feelings and connecting to the body that may cause us to feel pain or uneasiness. By working closely together, in a safe environment that suits your pace, we can bring peace of mind and lasting change that balances mind, body and spirit.

During these times of great change, we can find ourselves in troubled states of mind, feeling off balance, unable to cope – this can happen at any time during our lives. Things and trauma from the past, you may have loss of a loved one, work related stress or loss of job. Loss of your identity, low self – esteem, relationship difficulties, in my experiences, any of the above problems can be explored and dealt with safely.

You may have no idea what causes these problems and feel in an emotional state. The inevitable stops you from doing the things you have always wanted to do.

I work to the UK guidelines of Integrated Humanistic psychology practitioner’s principles and guidelines, also accredited with the National Counselling Society.

Adult counselling is a talking therapy that helps you to understand your feelings, behaviours, and belief systems that have been instilled in you from childhood. It is important to have a safe, non-judgemental space for you to identify and explore aspects of your life that you would like to change. Individual counselling can support you to understand your core – triggers from your past to elevate the emotional and mental distress you may be experiencing in the present. I have considerable experience in helping individuals overcome their challenges. I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore and unpack the thoughts and feeling that are affecting your well-being. Please get in touch if you need help with your anxiety, depression, PTSD or relationship difficulties. We have within us an innate capacity for personal growth and transformation. Sometimes though, life gets too much for us; we feel overwhelmed by our emotions and we can’t think straight. That’s where counselling can help.

Counselling can help us make sense of it all: see things more clearly, and become more at ease with the way we feel. Gradually, we may learn to accept ourselves more fully; accepting things that we can’t change, and changing the things we can.
